The Corpul 4 Armata Teritorial (or 4th Territorial Army Corps of Romania) is the Axis division of ViE#11. Its tag is [4TC] and the army is based off of a real Romanian army, whose history is described below. It was commanded by General de Armata Barake, who was appointed by Maresal and CinC SexyLemming. The 4TC were fighting against the American U.S. 8th Army Air Force, their sole nemesis for the campaign. This army marks the first time ever in ViE that Romania has ever been represented in battle.

Corpul 4 Commanding Officers

Leading the Axis were High Command SexyLemming and Barake. Fantomet handled promotions, Brancaleone was in charge of intelligence, whilst Jem headed up medals with WhiteSniper. Squad leaders were ahh!, Davoli and PaddyPower and Kraut Killer was the army's CO cadet, helping the army in all capacities he could.

In addition to the commanding staff, the Corpul 4 Armata were broken down into 3 additional squads:

First, the 811th Infantarie Battalion, nicknamed the "Transilvanian Dragons." This was to be the automatic weapons squad of the army.
Second, the 30th Honour Guard Regiment nicknamed "Mihai Viteazul." This was the rifles squad, the brigade of so-called kar-whores.
Finally, the 317th Recon Battalion, nicknamed the "Castle Bats." This squad comprised the specialists, the snipers, the Panzershrecks, the machine gunners.

(Real) History

The 4th Territorial Army Corps (Corpul 4 Armata Teritorial) is currently a field army in the Romanian Land Forces, with its headquarters in Cluj-Napoca.

The Fourth Army fought in the Romanian Campaign of World War I, under the command of General Prezan. During World War II it played an integral role in the German Army Group B cluster, as it combined forces with various German field armies to push the offensive on multiple flanks.

The first push was involved in the western campaign in 1940 in Belgium and the Netherlands which was to be aimed to conquer the Maas bridges after the German airborne actions in Rotterdam. Army Group B had approximately 300,000 men involved in these operations which occurred in May 1940.

The second Army Group B was formed when Army Group South was split into two formations for the summer offensive of 1942. Army Group B was tasked with protecting the northern flank of Army Group A, and included the attack on Stalingrad.

In February 1943, the existing Army Group B and Army Group Don were combined to create a new Army Group South. This was done on the Eastern Front.

A new Army Group B was formed in northern Italy under Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in 1943, to defend against a possible allied attack there. However, from late 1942 to early 1943, the Fourth Army itself was almost entirely destroyed during the Battle for Stalingrad. It is estimated by some historians that the total Romanian casualties (killed in action, wounded, missing in action, and POWs) suffered during the entire Stalingrad operation, between September 1942 and February 1943, exceeded 200,000.

Today, the 4th is an important part of the Romanian Land Forces, which is going under a three-stage restructuring as it improves itself. Romania itself is slowly evolving as an important member of NATO.
